What is the Aroostook County Web site Directory?


The Aroostook County Website Directory (ACWD) is a printed listing of the Web site addresses of businesses and organizations in Aroostook County. The premiere issue was published in the Fall of 2003. The ACWD is distributed free of charge through:

  • Businesses all across Aroostook County
  • Trade shows by Northern Maine Development Commission's (NMDC)
    Aroostook County Tourism office.
  • Information packets sent to individuals who request information about the County from the Aroostook County Tourism office.
  • Houlton Visitor Information Center.
  • Hampden North Visitor Information Center.
  • Direct mailing to more than 400 County businesses

How is the directory set up?

Web site addresses are listed aphabetically by product or service and by business name.

What kind of sites can be listed?

Businesses, clubs, and organizations. The site, however, must belong to a business, organization or individual in Aroostook County.

Are there any sites that can't be listed?

Yes. We reserve the right to decline listing sites with objectionable content.

How often is the directory be published?

The ACWD is published in the spring and fall of each year. The next issue is scheduled for publishing in November 2004.
